I applied for a college close to the deadline and hence made a mistake in my resume. Long story short, I worked for a company X on contract, and I should have mentioned my work as freelance work. Instead I mentioned company name, as if I was on payroll for the company. For student visa application, I will mention correctly that I was a freelancer.

Is the difference in resume create problems getting student visa? Or during background check during PR (I am not claiming points for this freelance work in my CRS)?

For student permit application, resume is usually not required, unless its for Masters or Phd. With that said, in the employment history section in the student permit app form ensure to reflect the accurate details of your employments within the past 10years.
