Hi all,

For applying citizenship in Canada, is it necessary to be working in the 1095 days spent in Canada. What if I am being funded by my spouse outside of Canada? Will I be eligible to apply for citizenship in this case? Thanks

No, employment is not required to qualify.

Thanks. So even if I spend 3 years in Canada as a home maker looking after my young child, I can still apply for citizenship at the end of 3 years period?
Yes, that is correct. Residency is the only basic requirement.
