is it necessary for company to have gross revenue of one million dollar?

is it necessary for a company to have gross annual revenue of one million if they wish to give me letters and show my experience as working there as a supervisor? .
or this condition is only necessary if want LMIA or provincial nomination ?
in case if we are not applying for LMIA or PNP is this condition still needed to be valid or it does not matter?
