Dear,
I and my family is about to move to Canada but i would have to fly back to Qatar and have very less time to stay in Canada. Its written on CIC website that it takes 45 calender days to get PRC.
1. Is it possible to leave Canada before the card is made?
2. Is it possible that my family stay in Canada by the time PRC is made and then collect the card on my behalf?

Does anyone has information about it?

1. Yes
2. Yes

also as a third option you can give address of your close friend or relative in Canada who can later post it to your international address.
but its a must to carry that when you comeback to Canada. Otherwise there will lots of hassle.
Good luck.

Dear,
Thanks for your reply.
You mean that if my family is in Canada, they can collect my card on my behalf and there is no need of me to be in Canada at that time.

They can receive it, if CIC sent it by mail. If, as sometimes happens, you are asked to collect it from the local CIC office, you must go in person.

Hi imnarali81
You can leave Canada before the your card is ready. Just leave a letter of authorization with your wife or family so that they can collect on your behalf and courier it to you. please ensure its a registered mail so that it can get to you on-time and the avoidance of loss-in-transit is avoided.
Congrats on your landing.
