Hello all helpful experienced people !

I am a software developer and here in Canada, doing my masters. As I'm a student, I don't have a full-time work permit and still I didn't get my part-time work permit.
I have been working for some people in USA online.. I also get payments Online (via PayPal.com).

1.) Is it legal to work for someone in USA ( or Out of Canada ) without having work permit ?

2.) what if I get paid by Money Order from USA ?

Please clear me as soon as possible. If you don't have 100% idea, please at least share your knowledge.

Thank you.

It's a grey area. You are actually not working "in Canada". You are technically working in the US, even though you are physically located in Canada. As far as I am aware, there are no rules specifically forbidding you from working online in another country while you are physically in Canada but not allowing it either really.

Most common answer to your question would be don't ask, don't tell. The odds of anybody finding out about this are minimal and even if they did, there is nothing that specifically forbids it.

I think the main question is:
How are you getting paid ? Where will you be paying your taxes ?
