is it compulsary to take residence in campus

hello
friends is it compulsary to accept residence in university campus (waterloo uni fall 2014)

or we can take residence outside campus as well and how much would be the diffrence between two money wise

for one term.

I don't think a university will make it compulsory to take on-campus residence option. Afterall, no university can accommodate all of its students on campus. If you're on a tight budget, look for cheaper rent off campus. If you find one, you can compare with the on campus ones. However, generally, some students find on campus accommodation more expensive than off campus and vice versa. It all depends on you and your ability to find cheaper off campus rent.
