Dear all,
A friend of mine who has visited many countries and the minimum staying in each country was almost one year only for work purposes. Should he bring PCC for each country he has visited bear in mind that the first country he visited was or than 17 years ago.
My question is can CHC discover it even if he didn’t mention anything about it in his background application and how.

He should tell the truth and get a PCC from all countries where he lived for 6 months or more since the age of 18. He will have to give his whole background history to CIC including every address he lived at since the age of 18 and all jobs he had and if he starts lying about which country he was in, he will also have to lie about the addresses and past jobs. You never know what they will decide to check and once they figure out he is lying, his application is toast. Is it worth it to save himself the trouble of getting a PCC?

Thanks Mr Leon for your answer I told him the same but he said he can not bring PCC from KSA since it was more than 15 years ago. He also ask how CHC checking all movements of a persons

They may not check all his movements but who knows if they might just decide to phone one employer and then find out that he wasn't working there at the time he said he was. Wouldn't look good for him.

It could also happen if he ever made an enemy and this person knew that he lied on his immigration forms, they could bring it to the attention of CIC and it could cost him his PR or even citizenship if he'd gotten that far already.

There was a woman on this forum who claimed to have had her ex husband deported on the basis of him having lied on his PR application about a 2 month period where he claimed to have been in school but was really unemployed.

I don't know what country he is that he needs a PCC from but any country should be able to give you some sort of a letter stating that they do not have a police record for you. Maybe he doesn't want to get it because he does have a police record from there.

Hi,

dody,

Mr. Lean has answered your question very well and explained you that what might be happen.
I would like to add that getting the PCC from KSA is not a big problem. Your friend can go to the Saudi Embassy in his country and request PCC for the period he was there. They will charge some fee and it will take few weeks to come back from KSA.

Hope it will help
