Hi everyone- I wanted to know if it is better that the work letter mentions the NOC code or not? My letter already has it, if it is not considered appropriate so should I get it removed? Can someone please let me know if they had the NOC in the work letter, and did not have any issues, and got their PR?

I had posted on this the CEC forum and did not hear back so writing here too. Thank you in advance.

Here's my thought process....I am from India where the NOC system is completely alien. If I had requested my employer to mention a specific NOC code in my Work Reference letter, I have no doubt he would have done it. But if I was a Case Analyst reviewing my case - I would wonder if the applicant was making extra efforts to align his experience with a specific NOC code and its related responsibilities, given that employers in India are not familiar with the NOC system. Hence, I did not include it and had my letter focus on the roles and responsibilities.
On the other hand, I am certain there are others who have included a NOC code in their letters and successfully obtained their PR.
So do your own thing... :)

Hi, thank you for your response. I am not sure what would be the best way to go about this. My employer is Canadian, and familiar with these things but I am still not sure if it should be mentioned.

Ok, if your employer is Canadian, by all means include the NOC in your reference letter.
If your employer currently acknowledges your NOC (and pays your wages accordingly) - then it shall only reinforce your case.

I am just concerned if it sounds over-ambitious that's why was checking with others what did they do- like mentioned the applicable NOC or not.

HI, did u mention ur noc code. i am in the same situation and my employer can write me noc code. if there is an issue i wont add it. Kindly advise about your experience as soon as possible? did u get your PR?

Hi everyone,
I am applying for CEC. My experience letter does not mention NOC code specifically. Employer not ready to mention NOC.
Can this cause any issue?
