I hope all the May applicants gets their Medical Asap so that CIC can start sending medical request for June and july applicants. :'( Anyways out of curiosity i know it is not mandatory but doing upfront medical saves any time or not?

Express entry scares me as i am not able to understand what government is actually looking for. :o :-\

All the best everyone

You have to note however that Medical is valid only for 1 year. If your application takes more than a year than you will need to do another medical (another fees).

Also - your COPR will have the same expiry date of your Medical.

As per forum CIC already started processing May applications, hope you will also hear medical soon. Alternatively I would say first apply GCMS notes and if you think all having positive notes by VO, you can go ahead do upfront medicals

Upfront medical exam may help reduce your processing time. the following time may be saved
- the time cic takes to send a request
-plus time consumed on your side to undergo a medical exam
-plus the doctor's time to upload the medical exam to CIC servers (incase you undergo a e-medical)
-plus the time you take to send the receipt to cic that you have completed your medical exam
-plus review of the medical exam by the Medical Board.

A VO can also extend a medical exam validity(which is about to expire) if the application is near to the final decision. so no harm in sending an upfront medical exam.

Thank you guys and can someone please let me know how to order GCMS notes? And i am a july 2014 applicant.

Pro:
1) It will save some time. considering your application is completed in other aspect.

Cons:
1) Your landing Validity will be 12 month form date of MR.
2) In case your application got rejected by any reason , loss of money
When I got my first GCMS , VO mentioned in Note MR- Passed - Expired , so i did again upfront and send my result to them ,

Yes there is rule if applicant is in canada for last 18 month and although MR expired , it can be considered . But this is also unto VO to extend or not

Decision is yours.
Hope this will help . Good Luck
