If CIc cancels the Study Permit application does it affect the future applications somehow?

If you application status is cancelled, it means (any of these or more):
you no more need what you're requesting for;
CIC is unable to process your application for some reasons;
you might already be in the possession of the necessary same documents you've applied for;
you did not use the correct application forms or gross mistake;
Your application cannot be further processed and is void due to other reasons.

Thanks, I know what that means. I just want to find out if this has any meaning towards future applications...

It won't have any affect on future application unless the application was cancelled for odd reasons.
As long as you know the reason of cancelation and rectify the errors and re-submit, it should be fine.

That's the problem. I don't know the reason. It just shows "Cancelled" in MyCIC account and no messages or explanation at all.

You shall soon expect an explanation from CHC for the reasons of cancelation.
Would suggest you to wait before re-submission. I agree its frustrating but Cancelation happens in very few cases so reason is imperative.
All the Best.

So do they provide the reason for cancellation as well? I thought it's only for refusal..

Yes, it is important to know the reason and they should provide you with one.
Where did you apply?

From Canada. I actually received my study permit from within Canada. But it had a condition on it that I am not authorized to work in healthcare fields. I did my uprfront medical exam and submitted it with my first application, but still got this condition. I am a medical student, so It's important not to have this condition. So I called CIC and they said that at the time my application has been approved, my medical results haven't reached CIC, but now they have, so I should reapply and attached an explanation note. I reaplied, but it was cancelled...

Well your case is very subjective and I believe that since your upfront medicals did not reach them the first time, they implemented this condition. However, if everything is cleared in medicals then they should withdraw the imposed condition. Get in touch with the embassy and ask them the reason of explanation or the formalities required to get one. I am sure they need to justify the cancelation.
