Is it always so difficult to get an admission in the University of Saskatchewen?

My name is Kemi, a prospective student of the University os Saskatchewen. I've been trying to get an admission offer from the University of Saskatchewen (dept. of Biochemistry specifically) but admission into that dept totally depends on the availability of a supervisor... i've sent countless mails, called countless times (no one answers, i drop voice mails). Its so difficult to get a supervisor. If i was in Canada, i'd just go to the school and talk to the supervisors directly asking i can join their laboratories... Can anyone help me? Maybe someone in the school that knows a supervisor in the department of Biochemistry
