Hi

I am working in a research job at university (not student) on a temporary work permit and may start a new job on a IEC open work permit.
In case I start the new job my current employer may allow me to work with him for 2 more months until we finish our current project (I can do that job at weekends). This means I would like to work both full time jobs for 2 months or something at the same time.

Is such a thing allowed in Canada?

From the moment you have your IEC that permit itself allows you to work as much as you want. Basically you won't need your closed work permit anymore, you can use the IEC for both.

"Working Holiday participants

Your work permit should show:

“open” employer, and
“open” location.
Open employer and employment location means you have an open work permit.

As long as your work permit is valid, there are no restrictions on:

how long you can work, or
how many hours you can work."
