Is it allow to sho Brother's or father's Bank statment

I want to ask that when i apply for visa .I have to show My Proof of funds.So in that case can i show my brothers bank statment or my fathers statement

father's statement is ok...but if showing of brother then u should also submitting the supporting docs of income of your brother like...ITR'S..

Yes you can then please note that then you must show family tree that shows he is your brother further show his birth certificate b/c at birth certificate mother and father name present

in case of your brother or sister sponsoring you, you need to provide his /her employment letter, pay slips, income tax docs, bank letter+bank statements and affidavit of support duly signed by him/her etc

momi, what did u mean by the source of income? can u elaborate on this? let's suppose, if my dad is a retired officer and living in the USA but his sons (american citizens) have been transferring money in his american bank account over a period of years, won't that be enough? Will he have to provide documents where that money came from if he was not working? In this case, how can he show the source of income?

Your father account including transfer transactions , corresponding bank accounts of his sons will serve the purpose....but if the required money is there for a considerable time period (for two years or more) then no need to show the corresponding bank accounts , ur fathers statement will be enough ....

yes , but CHC ISL only asks for the last 4/6 month bank statements of your sponsor etc. Let's say just for the heck of an argument, money has been there from the last 2 years in my dad's account(in this case, his bank statement will be sufficient as per your understanding), so will I need to show bank statements from the last 24 months, won't there be a pile of papers in that case?

I am telling u that how u can make ur case strong, it's up to u that how u show ur sponsor bank statement , 4 to 6 months is the minimum requirement , source of funds also make the financial of a case stronger....
