Is Education NOC can be mismatched with the nocs of work history?

I have done MS CSIT which is related to software engineering closely i.e NOC code 2173. whereas my work experience is in digital marketing field that is noc code 0124. However both are the allowed skilled types that is 0 and A. I wanted to ask what should i select in primary occupation?

Your occupation should be mentioned in the list of NOC codes under skill type O, A or B. It need not be similar to your education. In your case 0124 is your primary NOC code as you have work experience under the same.

There is no NOC for "education." Chose the NOC that best reflects your skilled work experience.

Be careful, though - NOC 0124 is a MANAGEMENT occupation - if you were not managing or directing departments, people ad/or and budgets, you need to find a Skill level A NOC code.
