Is cook considered skill trade? Can they apply under federal skilled trade sector?

Hi All,
Is NOC 6322 Cook is considered skill trade? if someone get LMIA for Cook what are their chances getting invitation to apply for apply in Federal skill trade sector draw? Please advise my brother is cook and looking to apply under this category but points are low.

Yes, but it is usually easier to qualify under the FSW or CEC stream... You still need to get enough points to earn an invitation to apply under the FST program (there are special draws for Trades, but they are very infrequent). Plus, if he gets a new LMIA, he will be eligible for extra points anyway (50 pts) for having a valid job offer.
