Is Canada a good place for immigrants?

My family are planning to move to Canada from the Philippines. My mom is a licensed pharmacist my step - dad is a land surveyor licensed too... My mom is 38 years old and my step dad is 48 years old. Im 19 years old fresh graduate in Information Technology. and I also got. 2 brothers which is 7 and 10 years old. Do you think that with the ages of my parents , it is still a good thing to move to Canada??

Your step-father may face some age discrimination. Employers don't like to hire older workers as much as younger employees.

Other than that, it sounds perfect. Come to Calgary. There are lots of Pinoys here

Yes.Amikety. We hired an agent to assist us in migrating to Canada. and I ve read that Calgary is a good place to find job and to live . The agency said that my mom needs to pass the IELTS to pass the assessment too. We are applying under FSW . Assuming we pass the Assessment and the medical test. how long will it take to receive the visa and Canadian passports? I know that, FSW stopped receiving applications,so we will wait til next year.

There's no way for anyone to know how quickly the new FSW program will work yet.
