Is Calling CIC benficial ?

Applied for Visitor Visa to attend conference(May5-May8) on March 15 and biometric done on March 20.
Received an update from Delhi Immigration April 9 that there are lots of applications in Queue.
So just wondering that it's more than a month now.
Note: Also, one of friend applied a week after for same conference and already got stamped visa.

Should i call them , will it be helpful ? If yes what's the Phone number to be called from India ?

You won't be able to call the CIC call centre from India. Also, the agents won't know the status of your application. It's pointless calling them.

If you've linked your application, you can see the processing status in your online account.

You can also send a IRCC web form to NDVO to request for an expedited decision

No. It would not be beneficial at all.

You won't be able to call the CIC call centre from India. Also, the agents won't know the status of your application. It's pointless calling them.
