Hello everybody,
I am wondering if being an Active Military Member in the country of origin is an obstacle for the Sponsored applicant to get his PR?

While I can't speak to the challenges it creates in being approved, you would need to carefully consider the timing of your application. Once you are approved, you have a limited window of time to enter Canada before the document expires. At that point, the active military service would obviously need to be done so that you would be able to leave your home country. The application would need to be timed so that the service would be completed by the time the application was approved.

I can resign from my service anytime, what I am trying to do is keep it until I know for sure I will get my PR then leave the job. At the same time I am trying to understand if being active duty is going to be a problem.
Thanks for the answer
