My husband and I are recently married. I've left my depressing job and home and came to visit him in Canada for a few months. We decided its best that I return to school to pursue a degree in Canada due to the fact that my field of choice isn't available in my country. After getting the acceptance letter I feel hesitant to apply for a study permit. Well first off besides my family I find it really hard to prove strong ties to my country. Not to mention husband would be the only source of my financial funding and living accommodations. It seems like my husband being Canadian will in fact work against the application? We aren't sure if we both want to live here long term so as of now I wanted to avoid the PR route. The main objective is school but I don't know how to show that university as of now is my only intent
I really would want to avoid the rejection strike due to the fact that i am from a visa exempt country and stay here months at a time. Quite honestly I am not sure if we would later apply for PR in the future so I don't want to mess that up.
Can some one shed some light on the situation am I over thinking things?
