Am thinking I read somewhere that a PCC was required for a 2 year work permit application, but do you think I can find the reference now?? I can't see it indicated on the document check list. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

Read the checklist for work permits on the web site of the office where you are applying. For example Pakistan requires a PCC for all work permits.

Thanks, PMM. I've gone through the India website, followed links in circles that rivalled a London roundabout, and have to assume that not finding any reference to a PCC, one is either not required or I have failed in my mission. This doesn't add up, as it clearly states you have to prove to the VO you do not pose a security risk, etc, so wouldn't a PCC be the first thing you would do? They ask in the application for places you have lived for 6 months or more. Please direct me if anyone knows where the Indian regs can be found. Many thanks.

1. ND checklist doesn't require a PCC to be submitted. http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/images/Checklist_Work_Permit_IT_Worker_Live_in_Caregiver_161111.pdf
2. Security checks and criminality checks are 2 different things.

Thanks for confirming that PMM. That was the reference I found but wondered if there was something else. +1 for your troubles...
