Is 2 year gap after graduation a problem for getting admission for pg diploma course

I completed my BTech petroleum engineering in 2018 . During the gap year I did Nebosh as well as attended gate exam.
I also have 8 backlogs . Im planning to do pg diploma in occupational health and safety management in Lambton college or conestoga .will these things be a problem for me to get admission

Diplomas have a high chance of VISA refusal, you will have to keep that in mind and write a strong SOP.

You will also need to prove how your current education is linked to the course you are applying for and it's future scope.

Gap will not affect as such as you can justify through activities you did during this gap but course choice can be an issue.
