I had my medical done here in Dallas about two weeks ago, everything clear, however I am having issue with contacting the dr office( the only dr in Dallas that does Canada) for something to show that I did my medical so i can send with my application. The office sends the results electronically, but isn't there something they should give me?

Your medical results are transferred directly to CIC under the new system. The medical office where you had your exam should have given you a form with a bar code which is submitted with your application.

they have not..when i initially called in..they just told me to come in..when i got there..i was told they needed my passport number..so I had the test done..the next day I emailed them a copy of my passport..I was told they would have to make a file for me..however, I have not heard anything since that time. I have called 3 times to speak to a nurse on the status. I believe i will just have to go in this friday and talk to a human being.

That's where I'm getting my medical next month! I called them a few weeks ago and spoke to Daisy -- she's the one who is supposed to be doing the medical exam.
She explained everything to me in great detail -- what to bring with me, how the process worked and how long it would take, etc.

I'll be flying there from Lubbock so I sure hope I don't have to go back again for any reason! Too expensive!

it's great you got a whole lot of information..I emailed Daisy..two times now..hope she responds back, I want to send my application by end of the month..suck there are only two office in Texas that does this..will you fly right back or you will site see a little.

From what I was told, Daisy just does the paperwork, when I went in I dealt with medical assistants and some a Dr..I was told Daisy only works Wednesday and Fridays starting at 5pm.

Oh! I didn't know that. I was under the impression that she was the one who does the exam itself. Hmmm....

I hope she answers you very soon. Processing the application, and all of it's procedures, is anxiety ridden enough without having glitches in that process.

I will fly right back. I've been to Dallas many times, years ago, and have no desire to hang out there. :D

ouch! well Dallas welcomes you :D

Hahahahaha!! Sorry, bad memories from there.

Keep in touch, I'd like to know how it goes with your medical, etc. :D

There is nothing they should give you , your medicals are already in the system they are matched by your name , DOB , country of Birth .

Thanks for your feedback but then why was this posted on another thread? -- The medical office where you had your exam should have given you a form with a bar code which is submitted with your application.

This was posted very recently (January 2014) ..
When you do an up-front medical exam, you receive a piece of paper with your info (name, DoB, Passport number, etc.) and that paper contains a UMI (Unique Medical Identifier). You include that paper with your application when you send it to Mississauga.

You can find it in this thread - 3rd post.......

hmmm that is a good question...i am going down there tomorrow..

Good! Please let me know the outcome! :)

You can send in a copy of your receipts for payment to the doctors/xrays/labs that you had to have done. Those will suffice as 'proof'

Good luck!
