Hi, please help. :(

I'm writing an invitation letter for my boyfriend to visit me here in Canada. However, I am kinda worried that immigration may deny his application if they found out that we are in a relationship, since I read a lot of posts here that they will surely deny the application if they found out that you are visiting a fiance.
(we are not engaged by the way)

If we will only mention that we are only good friends, will that be a good idea?
will the immigration ask further about our relationship? or will they possibly suspect that we are engaged?

I would strongly discourage you from lying or misrepresenting anything in any way to the CIC.
