HI,

I friend of mine is planning to start his immigration process to Canada yet he wants to know other possibilities than immigrating as a skilled worker. I heard about farmland investments and i would like to know more about this field if any would be able to help. Does investing in a farmland help you in receiving your permanent residency? if yes, how does it work and does he need first to find a farm and then apply for immigration or is their a way that Chamber of commerce can help in this matter?

My other question, if someone bought a house in Canada can he obtain his PR according to this asset?

Just buying a house will not get you PR. You will have to be eligible under some immigration stream and you have to apply for it. Some provinces offer immigration classes for farmers and farm investment. Others offer immigration classes for people who want to invest in and run a business etc.
