Intra Company Transfer application

Hi,

My company has applied for my Canadian visa (ICT) for me to work there. I currently work in the US on an F-1 visa which is expiring soon. Considering that my application has been filed in the US, can I go back to my home country ( India ) and await a result over there ? Obviously, complete all formalities from the the Canadian Consulate over there.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.
