Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
should I be afraid if I'm called in for an interview? What are the questions like? What do they hope to ascertain from the interview? Where would this interview take place and is it the sponsor or the person sponsoring that has to attend?

The interview is for the applicant and will be held at the processing VO. The majority of interviews are held because CIC doubts your relationship is genuine.

You can find interview preparation by searching the forum.

the only reason to be afraid is if your interview is requested by one of the more sluggish VOs that think it's acceptable to take up to 12+ months just to give you an interview date. the interview itself should not be an issue at all so long as your relationship is genuine.

Typically, interviewed for the sponsored person. The interview will be conducted at the country's embassy sponsored person.

There will be an interpreter if the sponsored person unable to speak English. The question often is the content that you filed the application, including the question of relationships, information of the wife / husband.

You need to answer honestly and clearly. What answer do not know the unknown, not to lie.

So that mean if I get called for an interview I'd have to go to Trinidad for the interview since I'm in Barbados. I'm just really scared that I won't get to be with my baby again. I miss him so much it depresses me.

if you're already in canada then why don't you go the inland route instead? it'll take longer but you'll be permitted to stay in canada for as long as it's being processed, and your interview (if required) will also take place in canada.

OP is in Barbados.

VO is POS.

The interview would be in Trinidad. OP means original poster, which is just stating that you are located in Barbados, whereas the visa office is Port of Spain.

Actually, for regional processing centres the interview is usually at the embassy of the country the PA is located in. There is an embassy in Barbados, so I believe that is where the interview would take place.

My VO is Singapore but if my wife is called for an interview it will be in Jakarta.

I didn't realize that OP's VO was a regional processing centre and that OP was in Barbados when I made my first post.

I have seen some where the applicant has been called to another country, so I suppose both are possible. In either case, it's better to avoid an interview when possible. I don't think all embassies do interviews though.
