Interview call but I may not travel abroad - Plz help

Hi All,

I am from Pakistan and my case is being processed by London office. I have got an interview call from Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi to be held on 27th Feb.

Problem is that I have to visit USA on official trip and my employer has arranged my visa interview in the US embassy next week. Usually US embassy return passports in a month's time but in some cases, passport may get stuck for few months time(even longer than a year!).

Please advise what should I do now? Is it possible London visa office can take my interview at Islamabad, Pakistan embassy instead of Abu Dhabi?

If I go for rescheduling the interview, how much delay I can request the London office for my interview?

right after interview they will give you the option to keep the passport and send it back right after security clearance...

so you can avail that option.

It will depend on your priorities and constraints...

To me, Canadian immigration far outweighs US trip. Hence, if I were you, I would try with my employer to postpone/cancel my trip to the US to March, especially that my passport would be withheld with US embassy for unknown period.

Thank you both of you for good advice. I will talk to my employer for possible delay. Otherwise I will try to get the passport back immediately after my interview at US embassy.
