I don't think you should be worried at all if you have your Canadian marriage certificate and pictures of your ceremony it should be enough. It would be weird if they would make it a big deal because of the parents. As long as you guys are happy that counts!

They won't call the parents. The fact that his parents don't approve is not a reason in and of itself to refuse your app.

I suggest you get a notarized letter from your mother confirming she has accepted the marriage.

The fact that you have been living together for a year is very good. Gather proof of cohabitation such as lease/mortgage, joint bank statements, joint utilities, mail, CRA status etc.

Gather communication proofs like texts, phone records if you call each other, Facebook chat etc.

Ask friends and any other family members for letters confirming your relationship.

Thank you so much ..yes we will do so ..nd i have confident that any question they ask about my husband i will know the answer ..also he will be accompanying me.. was worried as i read some other peoples story about their interview with the same embassy that they cross check with parents by calling them .. hope they wont make it an issue .. also um living in canada with a study permit so i have to fly back for the interview ..so its not gonna affect my re entry right ? i have a multiple entry visa and i will also take my university registration n all with me .. .. thanks ...

You should be fine to re-enter Canada with your TRV and study permit.

If you haven't done so already, maybe order GCMS notes to see if there is anything indicating the reasons for the interview. (At least that is what I would do).

Good luck with your interview!
