1- Which company in Canada is offering the best & economical rates for internet, cable & land-line. I've heard most of the cos. has a cap
limit on internet download.
2- Should we take prescribed medicines in luggage or in hand carry?
3- How we get a taxi from the airport. Should we call first or just whistle and grab from outside.
4- Normally how much porter charge there?

I'd appreciate if someone who've already landed in Canada could answer my queries.

Thanks in advance.

>>> Avoid Rogers/ Bell and their sister companies.
>>> ACN provides unlimited internet download, residential phone, free unlimited calls to a large number of countries for $80 a month. see their website

2- Should we take prescribed medicines in luggage or in hand carry?
>>> If you feel that you may need to take them on the way, then you can keep in handbag , otherwise in the luggage.

Explorer & Haider have opined correctly.

1. For Landline & Internet u could read this thread:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cheapest-best-phone-internet-in-canada-t93418.0.html

2. Doesn't matter. Don't forget to carry the 'prescription' though.

3. There's a 'line' of taxis under the management of an "uniformed officer"... u won't miss it once out of the terminal.

4. As stated by previous members -- $15-20 is the norm for whatever u have. And pls don't forget to "tip" him.

Qorax
*Tipping the cabbie, porter etc. is a 'norm' in Canada. Usually 10% of the fare rounded-off to the nearest dollar. Pls do not try avoiding that.
