Hi all,

I suspect this question has been asked on this forum before, however, I am not able to locate those particular thread(s) somehow.

Is it ok to travel overseas after you have received the COPR and Visa stamping and before you do landing. I plan to do landing in Canada few months form now but need to travel overseas urgently for work. Do I need to inform CIC ? If yes, when ( before I travel or on landing or some other time? ) and how ( email/form etc?) ?

Can anyone pls clarify or connect me to the relevant thread.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
G

You are free to travel, no need to notify CIC post CoPR.

As said before you land you can travel where you want as often as you want.

It is the period after you land and before you get your PR card, which you need to board a plane back to Canada, where it gets complicated as you would need PRTD. So keep that in mind post landing.
