International temporary residents married in Canada - Query

Hello!

I'm a Post-graduate permit holder from India and I got married recently. My spouse is a tourist visa holder from Brazil. We got married in Canada and in few months I will request an open work permit for her. We will be eligible for PR shortly as well.

My question is that do we need to update our marriage status to our Countries? if so how ?

Do you both have online accounts? I think you can send updates that way, or through case-specific enquiry. However, when you apply for PR you apply as married. Are you both immigrating separately?

You'd probably get more advice on this on the proper forum for skilled worker immigration (or whatever your category will be).

I believe we have everything we need to show in Canada as we got married here and are planning to live here. I just don't know if we need to send some notification to our Countries about this marriage.
