hi
I came in the year 2017 for a 2-year program and I started my studies in winter 2017 but got into some serious health conditions and went back to my country for treatment and came back in fall 2017 and now again in winter2018 I got health issues and I decided to drop one course so that it doesn't spoil my GPA and that made me part time student and I dropped that subject in march on last drop date and before that I was full stime student so I wiorked 20 hrs/week and the day when I dropped my course I stopped working so the question- is it gonna affect my work permit even if I have the medical reasons and all the doctors notes and tests, Are these letters from school and doctors gonna work at the time when immigration officers ask me questions at the time of obtaining my work permit?
thank you

Hard to say that you need to go part-time for health reasons but you could work 20 hours a week. Nobody can guarantee what the outcome will be when it comes to PGWP. As you specified you didn’t want to lower your gpa so that’s why you dropped the course.

The thing is I got part-time because I wasn't well, I wasn't able to attend classes and I had 3 subjects bio eng math and math was the subject that I dropped because I was sure that I m not going to pass this subject after missed classes.

If you were well enough to work 20 hours you should be able to go to class. The purpose of your visa is to study and not tobl work so that should be the priority. I thought 5 classes was the normal full-time courseload. You can obly wait and see what happens when you go to apply for PGWP.

Well you didn't mention that. Nobody will be able to tell you what the outcome will be. I would try to collect as much documentation as possible to try to prove why you were not able to complete that course versus the others.
