Hello guys, im quite in a difficult situation,
I am currently an international student enrolled in an institution for the September 2018 intake for a Network Security program, due to medical reasons i was given a week off from school.
Because of this, i missed my final exams for one particular course im taking and my professor advised me to drop out of the program if i cannot handle it, because he said that he is not sure as to in what course i can continue in.
My problem is if i drop out from my current program, there is no guarantee at all that i will be offered back a seat in the next intake. I tried looking up for any available programs in January but in vain, applications are already closed.
Could any of you please advise as to what i should do, i am completely lost.
I'm afraid of losing my status here in Canada, please advise.
Thanks

Who is this professor to you? He told you to drop entire program because you failed one course? Doesnt seem correct.

Talk to academic advisor at your school or the course coordinator.
