International Experience Canada - Coming from England

Hello everyone,

I hope i have put this topic in the right place... Me and a friend have applied for an International Experience, working VISA to Canada. We applied at the start of Feb 2016 through the My CIC website online but have had no update what so ever apart from a message "welcoming us to the pool".

Is anyone else in the same position or has anyone heard anything regarding when we could hear back?

It could well be me just not having any patience but if anyone has any info then please share!

It's definitely not just you. The UK program is always way oversubscribed (i.e. far more applicants than spots available). Unfortunately it's impossible for anyone to say if you will be selected from the pool - it's a random draw. All you can do is wait and hope you get lucky. If you have further questions post them in the Foreign Workers section.

There are people still in pool since Dec 1 2015 plus CIC hAve had system issues most this month so no invites been issued in April. The issue was fixed yesterday Apr 26 so hopefully will see some movement but as process is random who knows. At least with the first in process previously people knew exactly where they stood, the random process has a degree of being unfair which is what i say to myself when i read about the latest lottery winner.

Thanks for feedback really appreciate it, does sound a little unfair to me! I would feel a bit bad if i get given an invitation to apply when there are people who applied back in December still waiting!

Glad its been fixed though, hopefully they will start dishing some invitations out and put all our minds at ease!
