I recently went for a quick trip to the states - left Friday and came back Sunday night - early AM Monday - After I got home, I noticed there was no stamp in my passport to reflect my most recent entry into Canada - not sure why the CBSA officer didn't stamp it - he stamped my customs card I recall. Any insights? is this a mistake and do I need to get this fixed? I have received an ITA and I don't want this to mess up travel/presence in Canada etc.

No need to worry....CBSA officers are known to be very inconsistent.....sometimes they stamp / sometimes they don't / sometimes they stamp using a wrong date (past / future)...have had it all. Just list all your travels as per your own records and you will be fine.

thanks! I appreciate the response

I think you should insist on a stamp as it will help you remember your travels. You will need to prove physical presence in Canada if you want to renew PR or apply for citizenship. The burden of proof is on the applicant.

yes but I can't find a way to do that? maybe on my next trip back I can ask the officer?

Not a big deal at all. I've been to Canada over 5 times and only have 1 stamp in my passport. It wasn't an issue at all.
