I’ve heard that some say inland spousal sometimes will take 18 months or so to complete. So I have this app ongoing for awhile, now plan to departure next month for a work trip. One Thing I worried about is I can’t take my partner with me for those three months.
if I entry Canadian border again with work permit will I be possibly refused entry. Will CBSA report my absence to immigration, in turn to jeopardize my unfinished application?

planning to leave alone whilst my partner (sponsor) housekeeping here.

advise needed.
thanks

Are you applying family class? Like a spousal sponsorship?

No, you can't leave Canada for three months. You should only leave Canada for 2-3 weeks at the most.

If you leave Canada for more than 2-3 weeks you have the risk of your application being refused as a requirement of an inland application is, well, to be in Canada.

If you need to travel for that long, you should have applied outland.

Thanks for your prompted reply. What if I return Canada to check in during my trip and then go back to work trip. Will that give adverse outcome on my file ?

You're advised not to leave for more than 2-3 weeks in total throughout the whole sponsorship process. You can expect your application to be denied if you leave for 3 months
