Instead of flag-poling, can I enter into USA and back to Canada?

Just received my Confirmation of PR today - WOHOO!!

I'm not sure if I like the idea of having a 'refusal to entry' on my record through flag-poling. I have a US Visa and my friends who are driving me are Canadian citizens.

If we admit ourselves into USA, how long do we have to be in there for before we can drive back in?

An administrative refusal isn't a real refusal, doesn't need to be declared and won't have any effect on your US visa or future US entries.
