Hey guys! My husband (my sponsor) has started filling out his 2014 taxes and we had a small question. So as we're going through we find something asking if I am "an eligible spouse" for the WITB (Working Income Tax Benefit). The requirements as listed on the CRA website for an "eligible spouse" we believe are all met however have some concerns about one: "Resident of Canada throughout the year". Looking through the CRA website does not give a definitive answer whether or not I am considered a resident of Canada, due to the terminology and way it is written. I have been co-habituating with my husband pretty much all of 2014 besides a trip to the USA in May. Currently I have been in Canada for 8 (almost 9) months. Just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation, and maybe has any input?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Apply for it. If they deem you're ineligible they simply won't give it to you.

Thanks for the reply! We decided not to in the end just to be on the safe side. We did tons more reading after I posted and there just wasn't enough information to be 100% sure, so we just took the safe route!
