Today my ecas status changed to In process. But the details are same as RBVO.
The address has been removed from the e-case page.

I am not sure what to make of this. Any thoughts?

Could be an error in e-Cas. Just give it some time and it would be corrected

Thx, KC

As per OP-6 manual, the "In-Process" status happens after you have cleared 'minimum eligibility', i.e. either you have atleast 1 year of experience in the 29 NOC's identified for processing as per MI (post 26 June 2010) or have an AEO endorsed by HRSDC/Service Canada in any NOC. Once this is established, logically your application enters processing.

Thereafter all the documents are screened & points allocation is done for the various selection factors such as age, experience, education, language etc. So your application can be rejected even during the 'In Process' stage if you fail to achieve 67 points.

However some Visa Offices like Delhi, change the e-cas to "In Process" only after completing the selection criteria too, just before issuance of medicals. But Office like London, do it as defined in the OP-6. So their is a significant time gap between going into 'In Process' & Medicals.

Can't be sure, but it is something to do with this migration thing only. CIC might be standardizing the interpretation of the e-cas across all Visa Offices, since every Visa Office was following different methodology uptill now & this lead to lot of confusion with the applicants. Thanks for your response Yukon.
I tend to agree with everything you have stated here.
This certainly doesnt seem like an error - instead it is a move towards consistency.

Thanks again.

STS

I think its a move towards consistency and also a defect in some cases as pointed out in other threads.. e.g. people who were seeing decision made only after a couple of weeks after in process and some without receiving 2nd AOR etc.

On the whole the situation as of now is very confusing and all we can do is wait like we do in everything else related to immigration process :)

Hi,

I agree with your point, mine status also changes on 26th of Jan but reflecting old info upto RBVO and file transfer to London detail only, they might add the In-processing detail on later stage, I guess so, but they definetly would have done it on backend database. I been in RBVO stage since Jan'2010, so In my case I presume its not a error.
