Hello everyone
Thank you for reading my thread.
So i came here back in 2016 and did my highschool and some college years here.Unfortunately this year i didnt register for my courses as i was short in money so i didnt study until now .my study permit expired on july 24th this year but i have not attended school since january this year.
I met my wife back in 2021 around march and we have been together for about 1 and half year and ive been living with her for 1 year almost .We married this year on april. Now im going to be applying for inland very soon so i can get my hands on a workpermit as well.
Now heres my situtation , has anyone applied for an inland with no status and got approved?
one more thing that i did is i changed my wifes id (since she is taking my last name) and i was wondering if that is going to cause any trouble for us?
As for proof of relationship , i have so many photos of us together , family gathering , her parents ,grandparents and wedding photos and im going to be providing the lease of our house as well as my id and her id to proof we are in the same address living together.
Should i be worried that my proof is not enough ?
Thank you all
Sincerely

Many people have been approved for PR with an Inland application without legal/valid status. There's no guarantee that a person will not be removed, but the overwhelming majority have had no problems (barring any other issues, such as criminality, etc.).

Without legal status, you would not qualify for an Open Work permit until you have reached the AIP stage - Approval in Principle (unless things have changed lately.

Regarding proof, being married makes it a bit easier; you don't have to prove that you were living together for at least one full year, like a common law partner does.

Focus on quality, over quantity (in terms of pics, etc.).

Good luck.

Thank you very much for your response.really helps.
As for her id , is it okay that i put my last name in her goverment id? since shes taking my last name .
Also one more question.i have been living with my wife for about a year now but unfortunately when i moved in ,the landlord didnt give me contract or anything to sign .but i am going to sign a lease as a proof in the coming weeks to show proof.is there anything else i can show to proof my address? i can also get a letter from landlord saying ive been living there for a year but idk what else to show
very much appreciated

I don't think you can change her government issued ID. She will need to get that changed herself. Since you said that you already did (how?), she may need to get it re-issued without your modification.

You can certainly try getting your landlord to write a letter, but you should have it notarized. The only thing you really have to prove is that you are living together on the day that you submit the application. It is a requirement (if applying Inland) that you and your wife are living together when you submit the application, but do not necessarily need to prove that you were before that date. Should be easy for you to prove that.

No she changed her id by her self . i just mean that she showed icbc our marridge certificate and now she has my last name on her id .because after marridge , you can assume your spouse last name without filing a legal change of name.
Oh yeah i understand.its just that since i am out of status, i want them to know that ive been living with her for 1 year just to show more proof.

Now im going to be applying for inland very soon so i can get my hands on a workpermit as well.

As replied, you will not get an Open Work Permit until you have reach AIP which is usually very closed to getting your PR approved.
Also since you have been out of status for a long time, I think it's not possible to restore your status. (90 days)

i heard that the AIP is sometime between first 4 to 5 months.yeah i cant restore my status which is why im kinda worries about getting removed but im going to submit my application soon .

Sorry i have one question to ask.
One is that i have as well my wife have alot of e transfer history with each other as well as cost for the marridge and etc.Are screenshots acceptable ? how do i show my e transfer history?

You stated that YOU changed her ID:

Anyway, apply ASAP! Don't worry about `more proof'. If IRCC needs more proof, they will ask before making a decision!

Oh sorry i meant i helped her change goverment photo id.
Oh really ? i didnt know that i thought they would reject me without asking or interview..because seems be no appeal or anything for inland

I would note: you avoid the question of what you've been doing for the last six years. Presumably working (off the books or illegally).

You will have to show employment history. Don't misrepresent on that.

I have not worked illegally anywhere .when i stop studying i also stopped working .i just stayed in canada which still makes me illegal.

Unless you sponsorship is approved in 5-6 months you are unlikely to get AIP in 4-5 months. Really depends on where you are from and if there are any processing delays but realistically AIP is usually closer to 11 months.

Interesting. I always thought that once the sponsor is approved, that basically means that the applicant has (perhaps unofficially) been Approved in Principle, since without an approved sponsor, the applicant could never be `eligible'.

The only thing to do after sponsor approval is really criminality/security checks and medical...right?

The step you mentioned is SP (sponsor approved) and AIP is actually after medical, criminality/security, background...etc. It's approval of the whole application in principle.
