Currently in the process of completing application for the Inland Spousal Sponsorship and will be applying for the open work permit as well. I am using the From IMM 5710e (Application to Change Conditions, Extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker) for the Open Work permit and am also referencing the document checklist IMM 5556e. I had some questions I was hoping to get some clarification on please!!
- IMM 5720e form - Question 3: I am applying for one or more of the following:
- I wasn't sure what option to select here as I currently have an open work permit with my International Experience Canada (IEC) Visa already and none of these seem to fit perfectly:
- Options:
- Apply for a work permit with the same employer
- Apply for a work permit for the first time or with a new employer
- Restore my status as a worker
- get a new temporary resident permit (for inadmissible applicants only)
- IMM 5556e - Document Checklist: If you are a participant in the International Experience Canada (IEC) program, provide proof of health insurance covering the intended extension to your length of stay in Canada
- As indicated above, I am currently an IEC participant and as required as part of this visa class, I do have health insurance until the current expiry of this visa. I don't understand if this checklist item now means that I need to extend this health insurance. Whats more unclear is for how long I would need to do this given I don't know when I will hear back on the Spousal Sponsorship/PR/Work Permit applications in the first place
