Hello all,
I frequently read in this forum while I was filling out my application but have never posted. My canadian husband is sponsoring me (american) to do an inland spousal sponsorship for permanent residence. Im also applying for an OWP. However, today we were supposed to mail in our application and found while photocopying documents that there is a typo in his date of birth on our marriage certificate. We are crunched on time for reasons I’d rather not explain publicly, and somehow foolishly missed this mistake when we received the certificate. However, it is not our fault because we put in correct DOB in our documents and double checked it all. I’m really stressed about what to do, especially since processing times are so long still from the COVID backlog. Are we able to send the copies as is and attach an explanation of why the DOB is incorrect, or should we wait until we get the corrected one? I cant find any info on this situation. Like I said im really stressed at the moment just finding this out threw a wrench in everything so dont be too hard on me. Thanks for anyone who replies
