Hi, me and my fiancée (Canadian citizen) will get marry in August, and we will apply the PR after we get our marriage license rigt after.

We are planning to proceed with Inland so I can apply OWP, currently I have a TRV.

But in December, I have plan to go back to my home country for one week to attend a wedding of a very dear friend of mine.

My question is, if I apply for Inland, I should definitely not leave Canada? Even if it’s just a short trip? Will this cost my application to be deny ?

I was in a similar situation as you, and decided not to risk it. I have my brothers wedding in October, so I decided to go outland instead. If you apply inland, you are not supposed to travel outside Canada during the processing of your PR application. There is always a small risk that you may not be allowed to re-enter Canada and/or your application is refused as you do not meet the requirements for processing (i.e. to be physically in Canada!).
