Hello Everyone,

My wife and I got married in Canada and have been living together for more than one year. My wife is a Canadian citizen and we filed our spousal inland PR application about a month ago. I understand that while inland application is in process, the applicant (me) should not travel out of Canada. However, is it okay for my wife (Canadian sponsor) to travel overseas for a few weeks and come back while I remain in Canada? Will this cause any delays in my processing?

Appreciate your reply.

You run the risk of not being allowed back in the country, if they feel that you will not leave if you are denied.
Edit: misread. It is fine.

There shouldn't be a problem because she is Canadian. As long as she is here by the time you land because she needs to be with you then.

She can travel freely. The only thing is that you and your wife must live together in Canada for the entire duration of the application. So her travel abroad should not be so long that CIC can say you aren't living together.
