Inland sponsorship

Hi their ,
I was wondering if you guys can help me out with something . I am recently being sponsored by my wife inside Canada . We sent the application in feb 2019 . However , we didnt receive aknoledgment of receipt or anything all what i received is a medical examination request . Can somebody explain to me why this happened and why they jumped into the medical examination right away ? Usually thats the final step before they request the passport . Also they asked for a renewed version of my passport for the open work permit i applied for with the sponsorship application . I sent it to them . Then i got a medical examination request once they sent me an email saying they received that additional document .

Medical exams are earlier in the process now.
I also didn't receive an AOR. That seems to happen for some people.
Common practice right now seems to be a medical request about 3 months in so I'd say your application is going along normally

Alright , thanks for your reply . Also , did they already approve my wife as a sponsor ? Or they havent determine her eligibility yet

You will receive emails if they approve your sponsor. Actually that email will go to your sponsor's email address.
It usually comes towards the end of the process
