Hi everyone,

I am preparing an inland sponsorship application for my wife. She is from India. Ours is an arranged marriage, so we didn't have much contact before marriage. We got married in June 2019 and she came here on a visitor visa with me and we are living together since then, so there is not much contact through phone calls or messages even after marriage. In the 2 months we have been together, I have collected following documents -
  • Wedding, honeymoon, outing pictures
  • Joint Rental Lease
  • Added her name in utility account (electricity)
  • She is added in the Rental Insurance
  • I have added her as my dependent and beneficiary in my employment benefits
  • Facebook posts with comments from family/friends
  • We have a family mobile plan that has both our names

I have few questions -
  1. Are these documents enough to prove the relationship?
  2. Is it too early to apply as it is just 2 months since we married?
  3. Should I submit only the maximum 20 photographs as mentioned in checklist or can I submit more?
  4. I did open a joint account with her but I only have one month statement with both our names. is this enough?
  5. What other documents can I add for proof of relationship?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

1. Do the proofs tick off the required boxes on the checklist?

2. No, it isn't too early.

3. Follow. The. Checklist. I really don't understand why people ask this.

4. If it is all you have, it is all you can submit.

Thank you for the reply canuck. I appreciate.

Yes, the above proofs do tick off all the required boxes, but barely by minimum. Is it safe to fulfill just the minimum requirements? I have read here in the forum about how people send so much evidence, that make me think if this is enough.

Yes, it's fine to meet the minimum. That is why there IS a minimum. If IRCC wants more, they will request it.
