Hi there,

I'm a Master's student and I am set to finish my studies in April 2021. My study permit (as well as my co-op work permit) are valid until the end of November 2021.

My common-law partner (a Canadian citizen) and I are currently working on my inland PR application. I'll be ready to submit it in the next week or so.

I have a few questions and I'm wondering if ya'll got any advice / similar experiences :)

To maintain my "status" / continue my life here after graduation (while waiting on my PR processing), I have two options: a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) or extending my study permit (if I get accepted into the Ph.D program and decide to pursue it). But for now:

Question #1: Should I apply for an OWP along with this PR application? (so I can easily maintain my status after graduation)
Or should I only submit the PR application and apply for a PGWP in May 2021?

Question #2: If I do apply for an OWP, and IF it does get approved in the next couple months, will it impact my study permit and ability to finish my studies?

Question #3: I've also done my undergraduate education in Canada i.e. I've been here since 2013 (on a valid status). Will this cause an issue of "intent" in my PR application?

Thank you very much in advance.

Q #1&#2: you can stay/keep on your present status, and you can apply OWP after you graduate, it won’t affect your application, , if you apply OWP with your application it will change your status, you may unable to attend your study because it depends on some of OWP conditions limit.
Q#3. As long as you have your status, always stay legal here nothing cause.
