Hello, Greetings. i am permanent resident and I have sponsored permenent residency along with open work permit for my wife through inland family class sponsorship and submitted on May 13th 2018 and unfortunately we received the paper application back on 22nd June saying that my notice of assessment is missing from the documents. We attached notice of assessment this time and sent to CIC on the same day.
CIC usually takes 5 weeks to take a look at the submitted application and in the mean time my wife’s visitor visa is getting expired in on July 22nd ( single entry, she came to Canada 3 months after the visa so technically she stayed with me in Canada only 3 months so far) , however we submitted visitor visa extension for three more months. I am wondering whether cic will consider my wife’s as inland application and process both PR and open work permit or will they say she is no longer having visitor visa. But we have included visitor visa extension screenshot in the application along with a letter stating that we have applied for visitor visa extension.
Any advises on how to keep my wife with me in Canada is greatly appreciated. She is already worrying so much that she may have to leave me.
Please help and advise. Thanks a lot in advance.
