Hello Experts,
Please give me guidance.
I applied for sponsorship for my common-law partner.
Application received by them on June 24, 2014.
My documents and supporting are in line with CIC requirement.
I am Canadian Citizen.
My partner was here on a Student visa.
After completion of her study, she got work permit for three years.
Her work permit will be expiring in May, 2015.
She is currently working on her work permit.
What I should do to extend her stay if the sponsorship delays than May, 2015?

Did you include an OWP application with her sponsorship application? If you did, there is nothing you need to do as she will have 'implied' status until the OWP is resolved. If she is on a PGWP then she should be sure to stop working on the day it expires, however, because they are not 'extendable' using implied status.

If you did not include an OWP with her appliacation then about a month before her current permit is due to expire, apply to change the conditions of her stay and change them to visitor. Be sure to include information and documentation (if required) that she has an ongoing PR application and would like to remain until it is resolved. She should be good to go after that.

Recently I received email from CIC giving me file number and asking to submit one form.
I did so.
Is it okay, if I submit OWP application now since I know my file number.
