I am back again with another question I'm hoping folks can help me with. My fiance is applying for a visa extension to bridge the gap between our inbound application and her Open Work permit application. Her work permit could run out before the new work permit has been processed so we are applying for a visitor extension.
When she attempts to fill in the application online, it does not ask her questions about her common law partner (like the page re: extending visitor permit explains) and it asks for financial information re: bank statements etc. She has just finished work for the season, she has an offer for work in the summer season but this would be dependent on a successful work permit, her savings were spent on planning our wedding and I am in receipt of persons with disabilities benefits. I would like to cover her for the period between applying for the new work permit, but I am not sure that is enough financially when she will be unable to work to build up her balance. Can anyone shed some light or offer suggestions?
